Matrox Monarch HD is a compact, easy-to-use video streaming and recording appliance created for professional video producers to stream a live event whilst concurrently recording a higher, master quality version for post-event archiving or editing. Webcasting to YouTube and Facebook Live is made effortless through its simplified setup for these popular platforms. All that’s needed is to pair the device once with these accounts and the pairing information is retained for future streams so no further pairings are required.
From any HDMI input source such as a switcher or camera, Matrox Monarch HD generates an H.264-encoded stream flexible with RTSP or RTMP protocols. While encoding the video at bitrates acceptable for live streaming, Matrox Monarch HD concurrently records a high-quality MP4 or MOV file to a USB drive, an SD card, or a network-mapped drive. Matrox Monarch HD is remotely controlled using any mobile device with a web browser such as laptops, iPads and more.
