Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, Magewell’s USB Capture HDMI Plus is a ultra-portable device enabling you to capture video from any HDMI source. It accepts input resolutions up to full UHD 4K (4096×2160), and has a loop through output HDMI port for connecting other devices such as monitors to the same video signal. Additional features include a 3.5mm balanced mic input jack and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack for extracting HDMI embedded audio. The dongle also performs processing such as scaling, cropping, and format conversions etc.
The USB Capture HDMI Plus uses your computer or PC’s existing USB drivers for plug-and-ply capability across Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Power is supplied via USB, removing the need for a bulky external power supply.
Two variants are available: the HDMI Plus and HDMI 4K Plus. The 4K Plus model allows you to output 4K resolution streams, compared to the standard Plus model which only allows a maximum output resolution of 2K.
